Lent

That time of year again. What do I want to give up and how can I make myself a better person during Lent and hopefully the rest of my life?

Less judgemental - every year I try so hard to be less judgemental of people I don't know. My friends reading this are probably laughing their asses off because I always fail about a week into Lent on this. I leave it on the list every year, and I try.

No fast food - after surviving January without, I don't really miss it. With the exception of Taco Bell.
Exercise - not just exercise more, just get my ass up and exercise.

I'm going to give it my best shot.

All IKEA'ed Out

Courtney and I had a mass shopping spree at IKEA last night. I'm so glad he works there! He had his 40% off discount this week and we took full advantage of it. My house is full of flat boxes. One great buy was the dining room tables. I had budgeted to get two tables, when we got downstairs we were tipped off that there was one in the as is section. I took a look at it, no scratches or dings, it was perfect, and it was $199. Then take the discount off....we totally scored on that one!

I was going to use my bonus to buy computer stuff this week, but I think I'm going to start building my scrapbook station. Stock up on cardstocks, albums, and embelishments. I've got the shelving unit to build once I clean and clear out all the junk. Lots to do on the upcoming three day weekend.

On another note, congrats go out to my friend Chad for scoring a new job! Very cool man, make sure to book a cruise for me. I so need a vacation.

The Good Old Days

Tickets go one sale today for Coachella. Courtney and I were talking about the thrill of buying concert tickets. I was looking for a way to avoid Ticketmaster Convienence charges. We all know that they are bogus, and make the corporate machine millions of dollars. Who knew that by ordering tickets over the internet would cost more than walking our lazy asses up to the ticket window? Courtney said why don't I just take the cash and go to the window? I responded with "I can still do that?"

I totally remember when my friends and I would stay up all night and wait in line for concert tickets outside Dillards. It really wasn't that long ago. I remember when they announced NIN tickets back in 1994, and they were going on sale in an hour at Tower Records. I just happened to be driving past Tower in Tempe, so I pulled over and was first in line. Limit two tickets, and only a 1000 to be sold. Then when Pink Floyd announced that they were coming....my friends and I drove all the way out to Superstition Springs Mall in BFE Mesa at the time to get tickets. The thought was that it was so freaking far that we would have a better chance for a good spot in the lottery. It worked we were like 150 in a line of several thousand at this one location.

So I'm wondering if I buy tickets at a Ticketmaster location today, will their be a line? I'm gonna check it out, and save a few bucks.

Tickets go on sale at 1pm (AZ time).

Happy Friday!

I got off work a bit early today...so now I'm jammin to tunes on the new surround sound speakers of my new computer. Kick ass man.

Can I just say one more time that I am so freaking excited about Coachella this year! It going to be such a cool show.

Courtney is off from work tonight..what to do??? I think I might head out to Arrowhead and visit Old Navy, they started carrying their plus size line at that store..which sucks for me cause it takes about an hour to get there.

I think we'll just hang out at home tonight.

Have a safe weekend!

The Art of Time Suckage

When someone says to you on a conference call "Not to be mean or anything, but what else are you going to do with your time?" How else am I suppose to take that? It was mean and totally uncalled for. I replied, "You meant it, or you wouldn't have said it".

Fuck you. Good day.

No Cutting Dude

I drive the same path to work everyday. I know that after turning right off of 16th Street on to Glendale that I have to be in the middle lane because the right lane takes you on to the 51 fwy. Most of the people that drive this stretch of road know this. If you work or live anywhere in this neighborhood, you know this. So why does the hootchie mama in the silver Civic who works in my office not know this? Why should I let you cut in front of me? You know that you need to be in the middle lane to go across the 51, why didn't you plan for the lane merger? It's not like it crept out on you, it's been that way for 10+ years. No need to piss everyone off just because you can't plan your route to work. Thanks Asshole.

Strange Things Are Afoot At The Circle K

The lineup for Coachella 2005 has been announced. Run and book your rooms now is all I have to say.

NEW ORDER is coming people! Do you need another excuse to go? Well here is another one for you NIN!

Courtney and I were just talking about this year's show and if we wanted to go last night. And I said, these are my exact words also, "Dude wouldn't it be cool if New Order came?" Freaky things like that have been happening all weekend. Brian and I were just talking about a stock that might be a good buy, and it's doing well today. Just weird man...it makes me a little nervous when things like this happen. I feel like their might be something waiting for me around the corner, usually bad, to knock the wind out of my sails.

NEW ORDER is coming! YIPPEE!
