Rainy Day

I woke up to drizzly rain this morning, the air crisp and cool. Being that I live in Phoenix, I don't own an umbrella. I had to make a mad dash (or as much of dash as any could while carrying a mocha) from the car into the office building. Then I forgot that I was the only one opening this morning (there's usually two of us). I sat down at my desk thinking that it was going to be a bad day. Luckily, my new best friend XM Radio is cranking out some of my favorite tunes and it just make the day better to hear your favorite songs.

I haven't talked much lately about what's been going on with me. I've reduced the number of hours I work at my second job to almost nothing so I could have more time for myself. I signed up for a quilting class, and I've just been catching up on house chores.

Shame Shame Ashlee

The Milli-Vanili curse strikes!

Come on Miss Simpson be honest with yourself and your misguided fans. You can't sing live, and your SNL appearance just proves it. What makes you look even worse is that instead of taking responsibilty for your own actions you placed blame on your helpless band. Shame, shame Miss Simpson.

*UPDATE*

Ok..I said that she can't 'sing live'..but she can sing which is far better than what I can belt out alone in my car. Has anyone looked at her website? People are using the C-word, which to me seems a bit extreme. I just felt so bad for her band when she placed blame on them. It wasn't their fault and they shouldn't have to take the blame for her lack of judgement.

Maybe I'm spending way too much time on this subject. I'm avoiding work.

Where are Your Parents?

Carrie and Matt are in town for the week. After lunch today we decided to venture out for the last day at the State Fair. It was about 4pm, and we figured that crowds would be light..thinking that people would be watching sports. Man were we wrong.

I haven't been to the state fair since 1991. If you've ever been to the AZ State Fair you'll know why..no explaination needed. We were the only normal looking people there today. Kids were running around, and no parents in sight. It was madness.

Courtney and I also went to the Bush/Kerry Corn Maize last night with Brian, Damon and a bunch of their friends. It was a good idea to drink heavily before going. I was so lost the whole time.

I posted a bunch of new pictures in the PhotoBlog from the various activites over the past few days. Go check them out!

Ethel Rocks The House

I finally got my desk at work all squared away. It's my own personal space, decorated all in pink of course.

I'm one of those people that needs the TV or radio on in the background, so I picked up this last night. I have it all hooked up in my new work area and I am loving it! Ethel kicks ass! So much better than local radio. And no more commericals! I'm totally buying the home and car hookups next week!

Blah

I'm working an hour earlier all this week, and it's really kicking my ass for reason. I've been here almost two hours and I'm ready to curl up for a nap. I totally crashed last night..I didn't even hear Courtney come home.

I'm making red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting for the bake sale tomorrow. YUMMY! I just love red velvet cake. I'll post the recipe later for those who need something sweet.

French Pancakes in the Shoe Closet

Got up a little late this morning. This is the only day that Courtney and I have off together and we have a ton of housework to get done. I bought new lamps from Restoration Hardware yesteday which I adore. Thankfully I didn't pay full price for them so that made Courtney happy. Chores, chores all day today. Then maybe this evening we can go see Team America...because there isn't enough puppet sex in the world.

Brian I hope you loved the breakfast.

Why Do I Bother

I just spilled coffee all over my white polo shirt. Not just a small spot that I can hide. No I dumped all over the front. Brian was just making fun of me for spilling coffee. I managed to stay spill-free for two hours. Now I have to run home and change my shirt. Now do I have a white shirt clean at home that I can change into? I doubt it. And if I do, the dogs will manage to jump on me and get their muddy paws all over it. I just can't win! AAAARRRGGHH!

"I can't hear you. I'm in my shoe closet!"

You must have been asleep in your huge shoe closet cause you couldn't hear the phone ring when I called last night. That's one huge closet man!

In The Dark Ages

I've had DSL for about five years now, and rarely have I had to experience any outages. That all changed yesterday. I was totally without the internet from about 5pm last night until 530am this morning. That seriously sucked ass. But it also just proved how much I depend on the Internet. I was in full iTunes mode, and was unable to get my groove downloaded.

Ok so on to stuff I couldn't post last night:

I checked out the new show "life as we know it" on ABC last night. Being that I love MYSCL, I would probably like this show also. I'm so predicatable sometimes :)

There Are Monsters in My Closet

I have had the most horrible nightmares lately. I woke up crying last night, hyper-ventaling, and in sweats. It was just awful, I can't even begin to go into details.

It took me like thirty minutes to get back to sleep, and I'm feeling the lack of sleep this morning. I had my Starbucks, and I'm still fighting to stay awake.
